Back in October I had was leading a couple of sugar skull workshops and had the pleasure of participating in an interview with local PBS for their segment, Art in Context. I do love my culture, and I truly enjoy sharing its beauty with others. Here is the video of the interview, please enjoy!Hello everyone,
This year I will be selling some of my pieces at the Pancakes & Booze Art Show that will take place at the Elysium Night Club. Come enjoy the show and have fun I have always admired portraiture. I think that the Human body as a whole is hard to render, and I highly admire those artist who have done it so graciously. As means of improving my skills, I have being working on a few portraits experimenting with various techniques. At times I find it difficult to render certain features such as the nose or the lips. Every person is different therefore every portrait requires it's own special attention to detail. Over time I have improved my abilities and learned what works for me and what does not. I do not think I am as good as I want to be yet, but I'm pretty sure that with work and practice (lots of practice) one day I'll be there. |
